A 38-Year-Old Guy’s Training Log

My first goal in the gym is to build muscle. Here is what I have been doing.

I love the gym, and I love to push my body. But I might enjoy the results of my hard work even more.

I have been working out for about twenty years and researching for about ten about how to enhance my exercise performance and results. In particular, strength training and maximising muscle growth. I enjoy sharing my accumulated knowledge; I have been writing about health and fitness on Medium for around three years.

My writing has tended to explore the science behind something rather than my practical experience. For example, recently, I’ve talked about hypertrophy with great depth. Hypertrophy is the process of building muscle.

Just a minor proportion of my articles have been at a personal level — I have not talked a great deal about my training. So, I feel like it is probably about time to talk a bit more about my training.
